AREA 15 DANCE STUDIO

Area 15 Dance Studio is a family-oriented dance studio located in Tallahassee, Florida. Our team of experienced teachers and choreographers is dedicated to sharing a passion for the performing arts with students of all ages and skill levels. Whether students are just beginning their dance journey or refining advanced techniques, we provide a safe and supportive environment designed to inspire growth and help them reach their highest potential in dance education.

Gregory Deal, the Founder and Artistic Director of Area 15 Dance Studio, brings a wealth of experience in contemporary, lyrical, and jazz dance. Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Gregory has earned multiple national titles and accolades throughout his career. He has performed in the opening numbers for NBC’s World of Dance Tour and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance on Tour.

Gregory’s love for dance began at the age of 14, training under Kaarlo and Pirrko Lawlor and Ricci Keown at the Ballet Conservatory Dance Center in Winter Haven, Florida. In 2016, he continued his training at Tutterow Dance Academy in St. Petersburg, where he embraced a diverse range of contemporary movement styles and developed a passion for commercial jazz. There, he trained under renowned choreographers, including Debbie Kennedy, Heather Southwell, Jaimie Goodwin, Sarah Beth Vaughn, Madison Tate Harris, and Gail Horton.

In competitive dance, Gregory has earned numerous regional titles from esteemed organizations such as StarQuest, Star Dance Alliance, and Showstoppers. He was the national titleholder for Showtime Dance Challenge in 2018 and a national finalist for Star Dance Alliance and The Dance Awards in 2019. Additionally, Gregory performed with the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker on their national tour in 2018.

At Area 15 Dance Studio, Gregory combines his extensive training, performance experience, and passion for the arts to inspire and guide students toward achieving their personal and artistic goals.
